The lip lines develop vertically from the nose to the upper lip border.  Botulinum treatment of this can be successful on its own, however, it will last around 6-8 weeks therefore to ensure a longer-lasting result it is better to use fillers too.

Injections are placed in the orbicularis oris muscle in four separate spots, two either side of the midline just above the lip border.
